I’ve been working on a AI toolkit and one of the section in the toolkit walks through how to calculate the return of an AI solution to get an idea if it makes sense to pursue or not.

The end result was a Google Sheet they can enter data and get the results.

Now, thanks to Claude and CloudFlare Pages, I found a better way to deliver the information.

An ROI calculator anyone access.

I thought to myself, "What if I built a online calculator they can access on the web instead of the Google Sheet”.

So I tried something simple.

I copied the text from my toolkit about the ROI calculation and dropped the Google Sheet calculator into Claude with this request:

"Turn this text and Google Sheet into an interactive ROI web calculator that calculates the current process and how AI Solution can help users see the value of an AI investment."

There was back and forth to make enhancements the calculator.

Within minutes, Claude delivered what I needed input fields, toggle switches, and automatic calculations that showed potential time and cost savings.

But what's even better?

I took that code and asked, "How can I add a feature that sends the form data for deeper AI analysis and delivers a summary to the user?"

Claude suggested a simple webhook solution. With a three-step Zapier workflow that took about 5 minutes to set up, I had a system that could:

1. Capture calculator inputs

2. Process them with AI

3. Email users a personalized analysis

I integrated this into the calculator.

This means DIY Toolkit users now get an interactive experience plus insights about their specific workflow.

Here's where it gets powerful: hosting this calculator was ridiculously simple.

I asked ChatGPT about hosting options for my website, and it suggested CloudFlare Pages as a free solution.

The process?

• Created a folder on my desktop

• Saved the code as index.html inside the folder

• Uploaded it to CloudFlare

• Named my page

• Clicked "Deploy"

That's it. From spreadsheet to interactive tool in about 15 minutes of actual work.

This isn't just about calculators.

Next time you're updating a spreadsheet for the tenth time, ask yourself:

"Could this be a calculator instead?"
